Wyoming stands to benefit from "mega projects" already in place at Chokecherry, Sierra Madre, and Viridis Eolia.

MEGA PROJECTS:

  • Chokecherry and Sierra Madre produce 3,000 Megawatts

    • $780.5 million in taxes on property, wind energy sales, and wind tax over 20 years​

  • Viridis Eolia produces 2,156 Megawatts ​

    • $585 million in taxes on property, wind energy sales, and wind tax over 20 years​

  • Rocky Mountain Power produces 1,150 Megawatts​

    • $120 million in taxes on property, wind energy sales, and wind tax over 20 years;​

    • Additional taxes come levies on construction and other services. Annual tax revenues begin with approximately with $11 million in 2021, expected to grow annually to $14 million by 2024.
